THE BUBBLES ARE FOREVER GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

This weekend our beautiful islands lost a wonderful campaigner of the islands.
Don Ho has passed away. He put up a courageous fight to save his growing weaker heart.
Even trying stem cell replacement in Thailand failed to help him. But brave he was to try it.
When you read his bio, it is impressive indeed. He was a gentle, kind and giving man. He was the father of 10 precious children. He was a fighter pilot for five years. He preformed all over, he was on several televison programs and even on the Johnny Carson show many times. Always remaining true to his roots in the islands. He was raised in Kaneohe, a wonderful little town, on the windward side of the island.
He made each person feel special if he knew you or not. Each new person was immediately a friend. We have dined at his wonderful restaurant down by the water at Aloha Tower many times. The only place I know where you can ask for and get a surboard pizza.
The one song he was the most famous for, "Tiny Bubbles," was a song he really didn't even like, but was so connected with him and his home that it was always on his list to sing.
Yes, indeed, it is a sadder place here without him, but a nicer place because he had him for 76 years.
As he was famous for saying, "Suck em Up" and continue on Don.
